Taoist Tai Chi Kung

Qigong (pronounced ‘chee-guhng’) is a complete system of exercise that was developed by Taoists in ancient China. While sharing many similarities with Tai Chi, the main difference between these two systems lies in the fact that Qigong consists of simple-to-learn standalone exercises, rather than complex and difficult forms or patterns of movement.
Qigong consists primarily of four elements: physical posture, mental awareness, full-body movement, and breath control. While mastery of these elements can take a lifetime, the benefits of a single session of Qigong are immediate and measurable for any level of experience. Able to be practiced almost anywhere, for any length of time, and with no special clothing or equipment needs, Qigong is the perfect exercise for our busy modern lives.
While this form of exercise is low-impact, and advisable for all ages, don't let that fool you into thinking that Qigong won't provide you with a challenging and rewarding workout, even for those in excellent shape. Suitable for those who are seeking longevity and to improve their health, as well as athletes who are looking to gain an extra edge when it comes to understanding movement and power, Qigong is readily adaptable to the level of the practitioner.
